So this is a tool that I made to generate QR barcodes so I can transfer data back and forth from my PC to my android devices. I know there are tons of easy ways to generate QR codes but I do notice it is a pain to have to go dig to a site that does it, rather just open exe, paste URL, and done. There is no catch behind it, no popups or ads in the application, nor will it ever have any. You can download the file currently on the XDA thread linked at the bottom of the image. I will post it in the software section of the site shortly. I will also post new features for what 1.8 will have in a few days. If you have any ideas for the application, feel free to let me know! Enjoy!

Well, it has been a while since I have been posting or the site was even available, been busy doing other stuff, but I did bring back deanfx.net so I can post all my new projects that I am working on and provide mirrors for applications I find useful to me on a daily basis. Give me a little time to revamp the links on the site and bring things back to 100%, I know a lot of the stuff on here is outdated and mostly blackberry links. If you do not already know, I moved over to the Android world and most of the stuff on here will now contain android files and stuff I am working on. Blackberry files will no longer be updated/supported on here as I do not keep up to date on what goes on there.

On another note, QR Generator Pro will be revamped for those of you who use it. I lost the original source coding during tons of formatting on my desktop, I will be re-coding the application starting today and will have beta versions out as soon as possible.

Anyway, that is all!

I see a lot of people complaining about the recently leaked copy of OS6 for the blackberry 9700. People are complaining about a white minimalistic theme after installing. There is nothing wrong with the OS and there is a very simple way to fix this.

All you have to do is load up BBSAK and delete the following COD:
net_rim_theme_tmobile_BlackBerry6_480x360_b.cod

Once you do this, you MUST do a battery pull and your phone will operate properly.

This can be done before or after the installation.

So recently trillian announced their instant messaging application with facebook and twitter feed integration for mac osx. I have used trillian in the past on my windows machine but as the updates kept on rolling in, the application seemed to be over-done. In my opinion it is way too cluttered for an instant messaging application. Adium on the other hand is a pretty smooth user friendly messaging application that integrates almost every IM protocol available. Granted trillian has the hand over adium for the web feed integration but why not just use your browser? Anyway, I won’t rant.

What do you think about the 2 clients?
Hyperdock gives you the ability to see window previews similar to how they are in windows 7 (as shown above). It has a lot of cool features, tons of settings which you can adjust to your own liking. I have installed this once I heard about it and definitely find it useful to any MacOSX user. I have not come across any bugs on it so far that would move me to not use it. As this program is still in beta stages but is stable in my opinion, please report any bugs you may find to them so they can check it out.

– The fact that you can control iTunes right from hover and see what you are listening to as well as album cover previews is definitely my favorite part of this application. Instead of having to bring the interface to front when you are in the middle of doing something, you can quickly hover and change the song or pause.

– Something I do not use a lot is the iCal application because I setup all my stuff on the calendar on my BlackBerry, but I find this pretty neat. You can see appointments or stuff that you have pending for today right by hovering over the iCal application. Not all that awesome like the iTunes controls, but this is something that I can see someone that uses their Mac for work use may find this very handy.

Give this application a shot and see what you think about it!
